The German Commission for UNESCO has launched the project "Euro-Arab Neighbourhood: Students build Bridges" within the scope of the programme "Dialogue with the Islamic World" that was initiated by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. The National Commissions for UNESCO of the European and Arab regions developed this project within the context of their strategy "Learning to live together". Project targets are to bring our pupils together and in order to: o involve them in the protection of the world’s natural and cultural heritage o give them a chance to participate in the conservation and presentation of cultural and natural heritage from local to global levels. o promote intercultural exchange, respect and tolerance o develop a better understanding for each other o reduce prejudices as early as possible integrate foreign languages and new media into school life
· Implementation: We are planning to work with the following topics: · u My school: Sønderskov-School/Nayfa School u Myself ( to be young in Denmark/Jordan) u Traditions, parties, games u World heritage sites esults achieved so far: u Setting up a group of pupils to edit the articles in Sønderskov-School, Ulkebøl School and Hørup Central School. u Newspaper number 1 and 2 from Sønderskov-School, Ulkebøl School and Hørup Central School u Newspaper number 1 and 2 from Nayfa-School u Optional lessons on editing and setting a newspaper up. |
